About

The Melton Cycling Club (MCC) was established in 1989. We are a road cycling club affiliated with Cycling Victoria and cater to all cyclists living in Melbourne's west and beyond.

The club has a proud history of road racing. Melton members have achieved successes in significant road races, the most notable being Anna Wilson (nee Millward) who was the 1999 Australian Cyclist of the Year and the highest ranked UCI female cyclist in 2001.

In 2004 the club was the beneficiary of a Melton Shire Council constructed off-road criterium circuit within the MacPherson Park sporting complex. This 700 metre circuit is the club's base and is used for training, skill development sessions and racing.

Since 2009, the club's focus has altered slightly with a greater emphasis on non-racing activities and participation in charity rides. Club members have participated in leisurely Coffee n' Chat rides around Melton every Sunday morning. Longer training rides are held on Saturday mornings.
